All NSID students have the unique opportunity to participate in local performances and Local, National and International Irish dancing competitions. While we highly encourage students to take advantage of this enriching experience, it is important to note that participation in competitions is entirely optional. Our primary goal is to foster a love of dance and ensure that each student enjoys their journey, whether they choose to compete or not.

Champions

Our Champion level classes are designed for seasoned dancers (Irish, Ballet & Tap) looking to expand their dance repertoire, challenge themselves and refine their technique.

This class emphasizes intricate choreography across Softshoe, Hardshoe, and Figures, while dancers master advanced steps, and bring unique routines to life. Whether we are preparing for performances or competitions, this class offers the creative space to grow as a dancer while enjoying the artistry of Irish dance.

Music & Irish Dance

This weekly 90-minute enrichment class offers a unique combination of Music and Irish dance. Each session is divided into two equal parts. This structure allows students to develop their skills in both areas, providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

45 Minutes of Music: Students will focus on learning how to read and understand Music Theory Fundamentals. We will then engage in fun vocal exercises to learn proper singing technique and explore a variety of choral pieces across genres, including Classical, Musical Theatre, Popular music, and more! Emphasis is placed on ear training, harmony, proper vocal techniques, and performance preparation.

45 Minutes of Irish Dance: Students will learn original Irish dance steps and routines, focusing on rhythm, coordination, and stage presence. Classes cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers.

This structure allows students to explore and develop their talents in both choir and dance, fostering a well-rounded artistic education.
